10 Ways to Treat Yo Self w/o Spending Money!!

  • Take a nap!!

You’re never too old for naps !! If you’re not a napping type of person then just lay there & relax. Enjoy the peace and quiet.

  • Take a Bubble Bath!!

Take a long bubble bath!! R E L A X.. dim the lights, enjoy you a nice glass of wine & some music. I don’t get to do this as often as I would like to but when I do… I love it!

  • Netflix & Chill

Catch up on some of your favorite netflix series/movies and enjoy indulging in one of your favorite snacks!

  • Exercise/Workout

I don’t know about you but exercising helps me relieve a lot of stress. I don’t necessarily mean lifting weights either. Yoga, walking and dance workout dvds get the job done and it’s also fun!!

  • Read a Book!!

Find you a good book inspirational book to read and spend time doing that! I’ll be honest with you, I’m not very big on reading unless it’s a really really good book! I mean, this book has to catch my attention within the first 5-10 pages or I’m done with it haha but when I do get my hands on a good book, it’s hard to put it down!

  • Take a Day Off & Do Absolutely NOTHING!!

I mean that! Don’t fix your hands to do anything that requires you to do any kind of work. This is one of those forms of self-care that everyone needs to put into action every once in a while. As a matter of fact, I did this yesterday when I got home from work.. NOTHING! I had an awful day yesterday! In fact, it was so bad that all I really wanted to do was come in and just kind of be in my own world. I didn’t cook, clean, do laundry, dishes.. nothing and it felt good! I thank God for my Husband though. He understood how my day went and did a lot to take the load off my shoulders so I wouldn’t have to worry about it. Gosh, I love him!

  • Go Visit A Friend!

This is something quite fun to do! If you’re anything like me.. busy all the time in every aspect of life then you really don’t get to enjoy quality time with your friends as often as you’d like to but every now and then, it’s good to set time aside to go kick it with a friend! There’s nothing like catching up with close friends and enjoying A LOT of laughs together! I laugh so hard at my friends most of the time I’m with them. They really have a way of taking my mind off of anything that’s stressing me out without even knowing that I’m stressed or why! haha. They’re the real MVPS lol

  • Have Sex!

No explanation needed here haha!

  • Journaling Time!

Writing is a great way to vent about any and everything! I don’t have a journal though. I blog and that’s where I vent for the most part.. whatever I’m not talking my Husband’s head off about, you can almost bet your bottom dollar that I’m writing about it! haha, I write til I feel better and when writing doesn’t help, I pray! To me, writing is also another form of relaxation and self care!! Sometimes, writing is like therapy. It’s just a way to get any tension, hurt or hate out of your heart.

  • Back Roads!!

Okay, this one you might have to spend a few dollars on if your gas tank is sitting on empty but maaaan, I love me some back roads!! Ya know, really.. I just love driving and listening to music period! If you are ever in the car with me and I’m driving and I’M in control of the music… just get ready for a mini concert because I be singing my little heart out! haha. No, I don’t think I can sing for real but I can hold a tune!! Anyways, let me stay on topic here.. back roads and music is so relaxing. I love it, especially when I start jamming to my favorite gospel songs. It’s like I go into worship right there in my car and just relaxing. I don’t any other way to describe it but if you’ve never done it before, you should give it a try!

I really hope you enjoyed reading this post and I hope that some of these tips help you out. Remember.. TREAT YO SELF!! Take time to care about you. Stop trying to be superwoman/superman all the time. You’re just as much human as the rest of us and sometimes you need a break or at least time to relax!! February 2018 Made Me GRATEFUL For…

6511183ae7278fd62a03c047d036fba1647854780.jpg

FEBRUARY.. my goodness, it came and left pretty fast this year! Needless to say, I am very excited about that! I’m glad to finally see Spring on its way!! 🙂 It’s probably gonna rain for the next two weeks here in Tennessee but that’s alright! Spring is coming!! I’m not a big fan of Winter as you can tell but this month has still been beautiful regardless!

The one thing I’m most grateful for this month are my income taxes!!  You’re probably laughing but I’m serious! Most people around this time of the year use their income taxes to splurge on themselves. It’s the best time of the year to treat yourself to things that you don’t normally get to do very often due to circumstances or other financial shenanigans. It’s YOUR money, you worked hard for it and you deserve it! Spend it however you choose! My Husband and I definitely treated ourselves and the kids but for the most part.. this was catch up money for us! We have spent the past 4 months fighting to keep our heads above water (financially) so when we finally received our income tax money, it was like a breath of fresh air! I’m not trying to knock other people for how they choose to spend their tax money. That’s none of my business but you know you’re maturing when you get that much money and your first concern is on bills! Whether you’re behind or caught up and want to get ahead, you know you’ve matured when that’s the first thing you consider. True sign of growth in adulthood. Anyway, that is what I’m most grateful for this month! I thank God for it. Our income taxes definitely helped get our finances back on track and that alone relieves so much stress. You have no idea! haha. Now the goal is to stay ahead! The only way to beat the struggle is to stay ahead of it !!

Can you name ONE thing that you were grateful for this month!?! I could’ve named a bunch but I won’t do that to y’all today ! haha 🙂 Don’t forget to like, comment, share or subscribe to my site if you liked this post or any of my other posts!!

How To Make Burlap Wreaths/DIY BURLAP WREATHS!!!

0KAY.. so there are two things that really inspired me to start making burlap wreaths.. one of them is a social media site called, “www.pinterest.com” & oh my gosh, let me just tell you.. I LOVE ME SOME PINTEREST!! I almost spend more time on there than I do other social media sites like Facebook! There’s so much to learn and see on that sight from fashion, food, wedding ideas, cooking, all kinds of different dinner receipes, arts & crafts & etc! Just about anything you can think of is on that website and I love exploring through all of it. It’s actually where I stumbled across a lot of beautiful door wreaths but the very first kind I fell in love with upon sight were the Burlap Wreaths! Me being the creative person that I am got curious and wondered exactly how they were made. Of course, I began looking into it and accepted the challenge of trying to make my own! The other thing that inspired me to make Burlap Wreaths was the fact that I was [.b r o k e.] as hell & figured that if I became really good at making these I could also make some money off of them! I started making Burlap Wreaths around August 2017. I’ve made A LOT but here are a few just to show you some of my work (inspired by Pinterest & a certain Youtube Link I’m going to share with you) ..

I will give you a heads up and let you know that this is not as easy as it looks to make. It took me a four days to complete my very first wreath! The learning process was a bit frustrating but the more I kept doing it, the better I got. Now I can make a wreath under 20mins. That’s how good I’ve gotten and you can do it too! It just takes patience and consistent practicing. You will also find that there are MANY different methods to making burlap wreaths. After looking at about 6 six different videos, I stumbled across a tutorial that made more sense to me than any of the others did and it seemed simple! To me, it was the EASIEST method & the link to that Youtube Video is https://youtu.be/EOVJOxmuB-g

I will forever be grateful for that video. They were very helpful and also let you know everything you need to purchase in order to make your wreath! For other tips & ideas on how to make a burlap wreath you can visit http://www.pinterest.com OR just download the app. It’s FREE! Of course after you get the method of actually making the burlap wreath down, you can pretty much design your wreath however you’d like! I will be posting more blogs on how to make all kinds of other different wreaths in the near future. I just wanted to share this with you all. It’s a great way to make extra cash on the side especially if you have a great support system! I have been very blessed to make money off of the wreaths I’ve been making since early last year !! I sell them through social media platforms like Facebook and also through eBay, Etsy & Bonanza as well! That’s all for today! Please feel free to comment below and share any tips you have on making Burlap Wreaths or any personal experiences that you have with them & if you have any questions on where to find more really good tutorials & ideas just let me know. I’ll be glad to help!! 🙂
