5 Ways To Stay Inspired Without Falling Apart in the Process of Reaching Success!

20180516_190510.jpg

Sometimes when you start something new, in the beginning it’s fun and exciting. You’re extra determined to be successful. You’re super motivated to reach that goal but after a while of working towards it and not seeing the results you expected to see so soon you get a little discouraged. You might even become a little frustrated and that’s okay. It’s normal and sometimes I think we forget that good things take time! In some cases, it takes more time than we expect but that still doesn’t make it impossible. I want to help you with that frustration that you feel in the process of accomplishing your goals. Today, I’ll be sharing 5 different ways to stay inspired without falling apart in the process! 🙂

1. HANG AROUND PEOPLE WHO REALLY INSPIRE YOU.

I’ve said this before & it’s really important! How you spend your time and where you focus your attention will determine how successful you are. Get around people who reflect who you want to be!

2. GOALS

Set goals that will help make your dream become your reality. They don’t have to be big stressful ones either; they can be small! One step at a time and one day at a time. Just make sure you’re being consistent in each step you take and don’t forget that every single step counts. No matter how big or small it is, it’s nothing to be stressed over but make sure you are doing something everyday that contributes to the success of reaching that goal.

3. DISCIPLINE

Everyone wants to be great but not everyone is willing to put in the work. Success actually starts with self-discipline. You gotta be disciplined enough to still push yourself to work towards your goal even when you don’t feel like it. It’s okay to rest every now and then. Sometimes, it’s okay if the only thing you do is breathe because everyone needs a break here and there. When you get tired, learn to rest without quitting. You gotta find a way to push through those uninspired, non-motivating, lazy days and put the necessary work in! Like I said, every step counts no matter how big or small it is but you have to make sure you’re taking the necessary steps! Self-discipline is everything. It begins with the mastery of your own thoughts. If you don’t control what you think, you can’t control what you do.  If you can conquer your physical and mental being, you can conquer anything in the world. Find a way to push through the gloomy mood and get done what you know needs to be done that day even if you don’t feel like it.

4. PATIENCE/COMPARISON

Be patient with yourself! “Don’t accept anyone’s comparison of their progress to yours. What you’re birthing is too big too big to be rushed. What may take someone 20 accomplishments to get to their goal just may take you one accomplishment to get there so just understand they know not the size of your blessing. If they are in a rush for you just tell them to be patient and to keep their eyes on their own blessing because your big one is not one to play with/” -Tatiana Jerome

5. BE READY TO FIGHT FOR YOUR DREAM

Some people have a way of discouraging you with their negative comments but if you know you have a passion for what you’re working towards then I want to encourage you to keep pushing!!! You have to be careful because not everybody wants to see you succeed. Some people are comfortable with you being broke. They’re comfortable with you struggling. They’re comfortable with you living a mediocre life. They’re comfortable with you living an unhealthy lifestyle. Sometimes, people don’t wanna see you doing good because they’re scared you’re gonna mess around and be better than them. Shoot, sometimes jealousy is the foundation of their negativity! Sometimes, people will see sooo much more potential in YOU than you do for yourself and they’ll do everything to sabotage it. See you gotta be careful with folks. They get mad at you when you are not who they want you to be! They’ll try to make you feel guilty for it too! But I want to encourage you on today to keep fighting and pushing for that dream no matter how big or small it is!! You can do it despite what other people think or say!! They don’t have to understand your passion but they dang sure better respect it and if they can’t then you need to kindly walk away from it! Don’t shy away from your own dreams just to make those sour patches feel comfortable! You better not!

I hope this was helpful for you! Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have an amazing day!!

Blogging Helps Depression

Image result for depression

Depression can often visit us like an unwanted guest from out of the blue. One day you’re feeling just fine and the next day – down in the dumps for no apparent reason. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. I consider myself to be a very positive person for the most part but believe me, I have my days and moments of extreme sadness. Before I started blogging, I used a few different methods to avoid depression and they all worked very well but my favorite one was writing! Writing feels so good. It’s just a way to release your thoughts, emotions and pretty much be as expressive as you want! It’s like venting to a friend but instead you’re doing it on paper. But just like writing can help your depression, blogging can too! Let me tell you how.

  • SHARE YOUR STORY

Blogging gives you the opportunity to share your story with others. A lot of times, depression itself will have you feeling like you’re all alone but I promise you’re not. There are so many other people suffering from depression and on so many different levels. You never know how sharing your story will help others find healing in what they’re going through themselves. Remember .. other people are going to find healing your wounds. Your greatest life messages and your most effective ministry will come out of your deepest hurts. Never be ashamed of your story.

  • INSPIRE OTHERS

Blogging also gives you the opportunity to be an inspiration to so many other people all around this world. While sharing your story, you also get to inspire others with your uniqueness and authenticity. You don’t have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful or perfect to make a difference in someone else’s life. You just have to care. Look for a way to lift someone up and if that’s all you do, then you’ve done enough. You’ll find that being able to help other people even when you can’t seem to help yourself actually does help you! it does something for you. It makes you feel better inside. Your greatest test is when you are able to help and bless someone else while you’re going through your own storm.

  • FREEDOM

You can blog about any topic your heart desires. You are your own boss! You have complete power over your blog. All of this freedom is a big confidence booster. You’re, also, gaining back your independence. Slowly, but surely, you’ll find it easier to manage your depression. With all the positives that blogging has to offer, I’m confident that you can overcome this! -Natalie

  • MONEY

Not only does blogging help free you from depression, it’s also a way to earn some extra cash!

  • YOU’LL SEE THAT YOU’RE NOT ALONE

As I mentioned earlier, depression sometimes will have you feeling like you are all alone but the more you blog, you’ll begin to see that there are many other people who blog about depression too. Connecting and interacting with other bloggers who are going through similar situations will help you to feel a little relief and happier as well!

Thanks for reading!! Your company here is always more than appreciated!!

Never Underestimate The Power of The Words You Speak

cad04effd20b28d1d71a10a8042d1083.jpg
“If you are always talking about your hardships, do not be surprised if you live in never-ending defeat. You must challenge yourself to stop talking about the problem and start talking about the solution. Use your words to change your situation. Start speaking words of victory. It is so important for you to understand that when you focus on your problems, you get more problems, and your problems intensify. However, when you stay focused on your purpose and passions and not your problems, you can have joy even when life seems to be falling apart.”

Working on Low Self-Esteem!❤

You really are good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, strong enough and you know what? You need to start believing those things about yourself because it’s true! People can encourage and compliment you all day long but until you start believing it about yourself for yourself then your confidence and self esteem will never get to where it needs to be. So with that being said, today is another day to create a list but instead of just reading, I want you to actually do this in your personal time when you get a chance. Write down five things you L O V E about yourself and if you don’t want to write it then just think about it!

It is so easy to notice the things you love about other people but what about you?? And I don’t get the wrong idea here; I’m not encouraging cockiness but for the ones who struggle with low self-esteem issues .. I want to help you! Self-Love is such an ongoing process and it is so important !! When you’re able to love yourself, you respect yourself so much more. It’s just easier to walk away from things that stop serving you growth and give more time to the things and people that do! So, I made my list of five things I love about myself. This was such a positive, personal exercise of both self love and self care! You should try it.

Okay.. so here’s my personal list 👀 let’s dive right into this!💖💛

1. Friendly Personality

I’m a friendly person! I’ve always been that way and honestly I think I get that characteristic from my mom. I don’t meet too many strangers unless I just really don’t feel like dealing with people that day haha and yes, sometimes I get in those moods but for the most part I am probably one of the nicest people you will ever on this side of earth and I’m not ashamed to say that 🙂 The world needs more FRIENDLY people if you ask me! I get tired of running into semi-friendly, fake, rude, hateful, mean and hard people. So I’m always letting my friendly little light shine.

2. Encouraging Spirit

Encouraging people is something that feels and comes so natural to me, I swear. A lot of personal things that I’ve been through in my life has a lot to do with it. I know what it’s like to be at the bottom and feel like you don’t have the support or encouragement that you need to go keep going. Therefore, I desire to push people into greatness any way that I can !! 🙂

3. Sense of Humor

Besides being one of the nicest people you’d ever meet, I’m also probably one of the silliest! I love laughter. I love laughing til my stomach hurts from laughing so hard! Sometimes, I can be a complete goofball and most of the time that’s how I get through most of my days! (Work Days Especially) I’m thankful that being silliness is a part of my personality because people with those dry sense of humors and dry personalities kill me … Oh my gosh. I cannot stand it. The dryness alone will suck the fun right out of things.

4. Creative

This is a part of me that I love; creativeness !! 🙂 I’ve always been a crafty, maybe a little artistic but I didn’t realize how creative I was or how creative I could be until last year when I developed a hobby of making burlap wreaths, tie blankets, bow ties, hair bows and personalized canvases !!! To make that stuff is time consuming but it’s {.F U N.} and relaxing!!

5. Different

One thing I don’t try to do is keep up. I do my own thing, stay in my own lane and ride my own wave. I could care less if people like how I move. I like what I like. A picky eating, thrifty shopping, friendly, gospel music loving, strawberry lemonade drinking, sarcastic, crafty human being I am!! haha. Being myself is so much more fun than trying to fit in with everybody else! 🙂

How cool is it that the same God, who created the mountains, oceans, and galaxies, looked at you and though the world needed one of you too? Learn to embrace yourself just the way you are and love who God created you to be!

I really hope you take time to engage in this personal activity of self-love & self-care. It will help improve your self-esteem. Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way! Be great, be happy and be free in your authenticity!! Xx!!

5 Tips to Help Ease Frustration with Your Blog’s Progress

2f3cf47b92b0854053e008202d1d6e0c.jpg

Over the past week, I’ve noticed some of my fellow bloggers have been discouraged by the progress their blog is making. For some, it’s just not doing as good as they expected and for others they just feel like the progress of their blog is at a stand-still. I can see where that would be frustrating, especially when you’re trying to monetize your blog and make somewhat a career out of it. I haven’t been blogging for a very long time. I’ve actually only been doing it for roughly 4 months now so I can’t tell you that I’ve been completely successful with mine just yet BUT I can say this – My blog is progressing much quicker than what I could have ever imagined and I’m well on my way to being successful with it! I’m not looking to make a career out of it but an extra $200-$300 per month would be nice enough for me! I just wanted to encourage and share some tips with other newbies out there or anyone who’s blog is at a stand-still and just needs a push and few reminders to keep it going!! 💛

EFFORT

The type of effort you put into each post matters. From the title, to the length of your post and every photo included MATTERS. It’s not anything to be stressed about but you definitely need to make sure you put some real thought into it. You can’t just throw something together and expect to get an amazing reaction from your readers.

CONSISTENCY

In everything that you do, be consistent. Consistency will always produce great results. So whether you blog daily, a few times per month or just once a month.. try to be consistent about it otherwise you’ll lose your readers attention. You may have some people who really enjoy reading your blog posts to the point where they seek yours out daily for inspiration, encouragement or ideas and if they get used to you posting on some sort of a consistent basis then they’ll always know when they can come check your website for fresh new content. And if you’re concerned about numbers/stats, then those are views that you will always have. Consistency is everything so try stay on board with it.

BUILDING A COMMUNITY

OK.. this is the one I’m personally working on improving for my blog now. There is one thing that I’ve not been able to understand in my four months of blogging and it’s this question right here: How is it that a blogger has 3,000+ followers but way less than 100 likes on their posts? That’s something that just hasn’t made any sense to me at all until probably a few days ago. I realized that I’ve almost reached 600 followers but the amount of likes on my posts and sometimes my views weren’t adding up and then out of nowhere it just hit me .. even though I am connected to a lot of bloggers, many of them aren’t in the same niche as I am therefore, they’re not engaging in what I post.

For example, I’m not really interested in the cosmetic or beauty blogs. Ya know.. I’m just not the biggest fan of make-up. I’m simple. As long as I have my foundation, mascara and occasionally eyeliner then I’m good and to be quite honest with you, I’m not big on the brands either. No offense to the beauty and cosmetic bloggers but because it’s not a big interest of mine, I’m less likely to click on their posts. My niche, on the other hand, is more about personal growth, self-love and self-care. I’m most likely to click on posts that are related to my niche and vice versa. However, that is not something that stops me from supporting other bloggers. In a way, it’s kind of a “I scratch your back, you scratch mine” type of thing and I believe that’s kind of where and how so many people get so many followers but less likes on their posts. Now to resolve the issue of having entirely too many followers but not enough views requires building a community! And that just simply means that you need to connect more with people in your niche. Make sure you constantly supporting them just like they’re supporting you and soon you will find that they’ll help you grow your blog & on top of that it’ll be easier to get more views on your blog as well as increased traffic, great responses and reactions.

KNOWING YOUR AUDIENCE

I think it’s important to write about topics YOU enjoy talking about but at the same time try to make your content relatable to your audience. It’s so important to get to know your audience and pay attention to what actually captures and captivates their attention because if your followers can’t relate to what you’re writing about then you’re less likely to keep a steady amount of traffic coming to your blog. For example, if your blog is based on poetry and majority of your followers are poetry fans BUT you decide you want to do something different and try writing short stories… well, there’s a big chance that you’re gonna lose some of your views and traffic simply because that’s not what your readers/followers are interested in. I kinda think that goes back to the “building a community” thing. Try to connect with people that share the same interest as you.

TIME

Now I’ve just recently said this in one of my previous posts but if you’re trying to monetize your blog, then plan to invest in it for a long time. This is not a “get rich quick” scheme. Just like anything else, it takes time, effort, consistency and patience. A successful blog does not happen overnight. So keep writing and inspiring people!! I promise there are people out there who are willing to read and listen to what you have to say! You just gotta find the right ones and remember to stay connected to those in your same niche!! 🙂

I hope these 5 tips help you !! Don’t give up on your blog. Slow progress is always better than no progress at all. Thanks so much for reading. YOUR company is always appreciated !! I wish you much success in your blogging journey!!💖
