There’s enough room for all of us to be successful !! Let’s dive right into this !!

  • COMMUNITY POOL

For those of you who don’t know .. this is what the Community Pool looks like and if you run a blog on WordPress, you can find it in your “Reader” . As you can see, I just typed it in the Reader’s search bar and it popped up. It’s basically a post that’s shared every so often where bloggers can support one another with feedback and advice. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with many other bloggers who share the same niche with you as well as those outside of your niche to learn something new!! This is where I actually fell in love with the “Blogging Community.” The support and positive vibes here are nothing short of amazing! This is actually where I got my first 100+ followers πŸ™‚

  • T w i t t e r .&&. I n s t a g r a m

Twitter and Instagram have been two of the most powerful and effective social media platforms for me to promote my blog on and connect with other people!! Basically, how I promote through these sites is share my link, add a photo and sometimes add small description on what that particular blog post is about. I really just try to make sure my post are as inviting as possible and before I actually post it, I tag different blog pages/groups that way my blog post is being shared on their pages and other bloggers can see it and connect with me if they’d like !! πŸ™‚ It’s a great and fast way to attract a lot more traffic to your blog as well gain new followers and become followers of other bloggers. Here are some examples below on how I promote:

  • Twitter Blog Trains

My numbers in followers shot up quickly when I started getting involved in the Blog Trains on Twitter. Some people have really good luck with these and then there are some that don’t care too much for them. Me personally, I love them!! Basically, it’s just a big comment thread with all kinds of random people sharing their social media and blog links. (Twitter, Insta, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Blog & Google+) The whole point of it is to meet new people, gain more followers, and become new followers of others. Normally, after I go and follow someone on their sites, I’ll either comment and say, “Following!” and then I leave my link with it so it’s easy for them to find me. Here’s an example of what one of them looks like:

  • F a c e b o o k – Blogging Support Groups!

Joining and participating in these groups are a great way to connect and meet new bloggers as well !! As you can see, there are a variety of different blogging groups you can join. I just typed “blog” in the search bar so you could kind of get an idea of what different groups popped up but there are more than this! Check it out sometime if you haven’t already πŸ™‚ It personally doesn’t do me any good to share my blog posts on my actual Facebook page but I get pretty active in these groups sometimes and it does help .. a lot !!
I hope you enjoyed this post and I really hope it helps you if you’re needing the help! Thanks again for following MY blog, supporting me and taking the time out to read what I write!! I love you all and appreciate you more than you will ever ever know!!

7 Places to Find Inspiration When Fighting Blogger’s Block!πŸ’™

20180517_210108.jpg
This is for all of my blogging friends that are currently fighting blogger’s block OR blogger burnout due to lack of inspiration for their posts! I hope this helps and sparks new ideas for you to write/post about πŸ’›
1. WRITE ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE GOING THROUGH
Sometimes, my posts are inspired by my current situations or circumstances. It’s a great way for me to vent. I don’t put too much of my personal business on here though. Instead, I try to deflect it in a positive or encouraging way. In the process of encouraging you, I’m also encouraging me too!
2. WRITE ABOUT SOME OF THE THINGS YOU’VE BEEN THROUGH
“Somebody somewhere is waiting for the wisdom of your experience.. it will serve as their life jacket through the storm.” -Derron E. Short Never be ashamed of your story. Help people heal through your words.
3. BROWSE PINTEREST
I love Pinterest !! It’s literally one of my FAVORITE social media sites. I get so many ideas from there that it’s unreal. Different dinner ideas, blog post ideas, pictures, DIY projects, wedding decor ideas, birthday party ideas and sooo much more!! Browse through there for a little bit and get inspired! For my blogs, a lot of times the picture quotes are enough inspiration for me. If I can relate to the quote in any kind of way then I’ll write about it. If that doesn’t work for you, you can also type in the Pinterest search bar “Blog Post Ideas” and a huge variety of them will pop up!! Pinterest is very helpful when you’re looking for inspiration.
4. LISTS
Create a list of something – People are lazy. They don’t want to waste time on searching and gathering information. That’s the reason why lists are popular.
For example:

  • 5 Ways To Love Yourself More
  • 7 Ways To Keep a Consistent Relationship With Christ
  • 3 Ways To Improve Your Mental Health

5. TWITTER
I originally created a Twitter Account to discover more bloggers and connect with them. But here lately, I’ve gotten in the habit of following a lot of other inspirational people that I don’t even think have blogs! Why? Because I love their tweets! It’s like their tweets speak to personal parts of my life and they are so encouraging!! Sometimes, the tweets they share spark up blog post ideas for me! If I can relate to it in any way, shape, form or fashion, then I might write about it or if their tweets relate to any of my posts I’m working on then I might add their tweet in it. (See how I used Derron E. Short’s Tweet/Quote in this current post here? Number 2.)

6. SHARE YOUR GOALS & DREAMS
Write down all your goals for the current year or dreams where you want to be in 5 years time. It gives nice pressure and motivation to achieve the goals, and it will excite your loyal followers.

7. “GET TO KNOW ME” POST
Make a post including interesting facts about yourself and let your readers get to know you a little better!😜

I hope these few little tips help you just a little bit if you’re struggling with blogger’s block! I’ll be making another post like this to share some more ideas later. I enjoy looking out for my fellow bloggers and helping y’all out when & if I can. It’s enough room for all of us to be great!! Thanks for reading and visiting my blog today!! Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way πŸ’›

5 Tips to Help Ease Frustration with Your Blog’s Progress

2f3cf47b92b0854053e008202d1d6e0c.jpg

Over the past week, I’ve noticed some of my fellow bloggers have been discouraged by the progress their blog is making. For some, it’s just not doing as good as they expected and for others they just feel like the progress of their blog is at a stand-still. I can see where that would be frustrating, especially when you’re trying to monetize your blog and make somewhat a career out of it. I haven’t been blogging for a very long time. I’ve actually only been doing it for roughly 4 months now so I can’t tell you that I’ve been completely successful with mine just yet BUT I can say this – My blog is progressing much quicker than what I could have ever imagined and I’m well on my way to being successful with it! I’m not looking to make a career out of it but an extra $200-$300 per month would be nice enough for me! I just wanted to encourage and share some tips with other newbies out there or anyone who’s blog is at a stand-still and just needs a push and few reminders to keep it going!! πŸ’›

EFFORT

The type of effort you put into each post matters. From the title, to the length of your post and every photo included MATTERS. It’s not anything to be stressed about but you definitely need to make sure you put some real thought into it. You can’t just throw something together and expect to get an amazing reaction from your readers.

CONSISTENCY

In everything that you do, be consistent. Consistency will always produce great results. So whether you blog daily, a few times per month or just once a month.. try to be consistent about it otherwise you’ll lose your readers attention. You may have some people who really enjoy reading your blog posts to the point where they seek yours out daily for inspiration, encouragement or ideas and if they get used to you posting on some sort of a consistent basis then they’ll always know when they can come check your website for fresh new content. And if you’re concerned about numbers/stats, then those are views that you will always have. Consistency is everything so try stay on board with it.

BUILDING A COMMUNITY

OK.. this is the one I’m personally working on improving for my blog now. There is one thing that I’ve not been able to understand in my four months of blogging and it’s this question right here: How is it that a blogger has 3,000+ followers but way less than 100 likes on their posts? That’s something that just hasn’t made any sense to me at all until probably a few days ago. I realized that I’ve almost reached 600 followers but the amount of likes on my posts and sometimes my views weren’t adding up and then out of nowhere it just hit me .. even though I am connected to a lot of bloggers, many of them aren’t in the same niche as I am therefore, they’re not engaging in what I post.

For example, I’m not really interested in the cosmetic or beauty blogs. Ya know.. I’m just not the biggest fan of make-up. I’m simple. As long as I have my foundation, mascara and occasionally eyeliner then I’m good and to be quite honest with you, I’m not big on the brands either. No offense to the beauty and cosmetic bloggers but because it’s not a big interest of mine, I’m less likely to click on their posts. My niche, on the other hand, is more about personal growth, self-love and self-care. I’m most likely to click on posts that are related to my niche and vice versa. However, that is not something that stops me from supporting other bloggers. In a way, it’s kind of a “I scratch your back, you scratch mine” type of thing and I believe that’s kind of where and how so many people get so many followers but less likes on their posts. Now to resolve the issue of having entirely too many followers but not enough views requires building a community! And that just simply means that you need to connect more with people in your niche. Make sure you constantly supporting them just like they’re supporting you and soon you will find that they’ll help you grow your blog & on top of that it’ll be easier to get more views on your blog as well as increased traffic, great responses and reactions.

KNOWING YOUR AUDIENCE

I think it’s important to write about topics YOU enjoy talking about but at the same time try to make your contentΒ relatable to your audience. It’s so important to get to know your audience and pay attention to what actually captures and captivates their attention because if your followers can’t relate to what you’re writing about then you’re less likely to keep a steady amount of traffic coming to your blog. For example, if your blog is based on poetry and majority of your followers are poetry fans BUT you decide you want to do something different and try writing short stories… well, there’s a big chance that you’re gonna lose some of your views and traffic simply because that’s not what your readers/followers are interested in. I kinda think that goes back to the “building a community” thing. Try to connect with people that share the same interest as you.

TIME

Now I’ve just recently said this in one of my previous posts but if you’re trying to monetize your blog, then plan to invest in it for a long time. This is not a “get rich quick” scheme. Just like anything else, it takes time, effort, consistency and patience. A successful blog does not happen overnight. So keep writing and inspiring people!! I promise there are people out there who are willing to read and listen to what you have to say! You just gotta find the right ones and remember to stay connected to those in your same niche!! πŸ™‚

I hope these 5 tips help you !! Don’t give up on your blog. Slow progress is always better than no progress at all. Thanks so much for reading. YOUR company is always appreciated !! I wish you much success in your blogging journey!!πŸ’–
