There’s enough room for all of us to be successful !! Let’s dive right into this !!

  • COMMUNITY POOL

Screenshot_20180608-094916_WordPress.jpg

For those of you who don’t know .. this is what the Community Pool looks like and if you run a blog on WordPress, you can find it in your “Reader” . As you can see, I just typed it in the Reader’s search bar and it popped up. It’s basically a post that’s shared every so often where bloggers can support one another with feedback and advice. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with many other bloggers who share the same niche with you as well as those outside of your niche to learn something new!! This is where I actually fell in love with the “Blogging Community.” The support and positive vibes here are nothing short of amazing! This is actually where I got my first 100+ followers 🙂

  • T w i t t e r .&&. I n s t a g r a m

Twitter and Instagram have been two of the most powerful and effective social media platforms for me to promote my blog on and connect with other people!! Basically, how I promote through these sites is share my link, add a photo and sometimes add small description on what that particular blog post is about. I really just try to make sure my post are as inviting as possible and before I actually post it, I tag different blog pages/groups that way my blog post is being shared on their pages and other bloggers can see it and connect with me if they’d like !! 🙂 It’s a great and fast way to attract a lot more traffic to your blog as well gain new followers and become followers of other bloggers. Here are some examples below on how I promote:

  • Twitter Blog Trains

My numbers in followers shot up quickly when I started getting involved in the Blog Trains on Twitter. Some people have really good luck with these and then there are some that don’t care too much for them. Me personally, I love them!! Basically, it’s just a big comment thread with all kinds of random people sharing their social media and blog links. (Twitter, Insta, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Blog & Google+) The whole point of it is to meet new people, gain more followers, and become new followers of others. Normally, after I go and follow someone on their sites, I’ll either comment and say, “Following!” and then I leave my link with it so it’s easy for them to find me. Here’s an example of what one of them looks like:

  • F a c e b o o k – Blogging Support Groups!

20180608_164017.jpg

Joining and participating in these groups are a great way to connect and meet new bloggers as well !! As you can see, there are a variety of different blogging groups you can join. I just typed “blog” in the search bar so you could kind of get an idea of what different groups popped up but there are more than this! Check it out sometime if you haven’t already 🙂 It personally doesn’t do me any good to share my blog posts on my actual Facebook page but I get pretty active in these groups sometimes and it does help .. a lot !!
I hope you enjoyed this post and I really hope it helps you if you’re needing the help! Thanks again for following MY blog, supporting me and taking the time out to read what I write!! I love you all and appreciate you more than you will ever ever know!!

7 Advantages of Blogging!

Related image

For those of you who don’t know , I’ve gotten to where I don’t make the “blogging award” posts on my page anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely, extremely grateful for those of you who have nominated me on several different occasions and for many different awards. I just don’t want to publish too many of those posts and distract my readers from my niche and what I promote, which is Self-Love & Self-Care for the most part. However, I was nominated by another fellow blogger, Dynaxty, for the “Awesome Blogger” Award.

As I was reading his post, I noticed a question in there that made me personally think and want to answer myself – What are three advantages of blogging? Although he was asked to only list three of them .. I came up with seven !! So this particular post is literally inspired by both the Awesome Blogger Award and Dynaxty !! If you have not connected with him yet, I strongly urge you to do so 🙂 He is a VERY encouraging, wise and uplifting person. I love connecting with people like that. I enjoy reading his posts and sometimes his blog is one of the ones that I personally seek out when I’m needing some encouragement or inspiration myself. You can find him here: https://dynaxty.wordpress.com/

S E V E N Advantages of {.B L O G G I N G.}

1. Blogging helps depression! I have actually already written a post on that and exactly HOW it helps. If you haven’t read it already, you can check it out here Blogging Helps Depression

2. Extra Income! You can easily make pocket change from blogging but if you’re really serious about wanting your blog to be successful .. you can become a full-time blogger and make a lot of good money! It’s hard work though! I will tell you that and it takes time. It’s definitely not a get rich quick scheme.

3. Blogging gives you the opportunity to make new friends !! You might think that sounds crazy because you’re making friends with people online but at least it helps with the loneliness! I have personally enjoyed connecting with other people who I have yet to meet in person but have a lot of the same things in common with me.

4. Learn New Things – in the world of blogging, you also have the opportunity to LEARN new things from other people and their cultures !! I love it and I think it’s neat! I have really enjoyed connecting with people from Nigeria and I’ve been blown away by some of the things I’ve learned about their culture! Absolutely amazing.

5. Encourage Others & Share Your Story– Blogging offers you the opportunity to share your story and encourage people ALL OVER THIS WORLD !! You’d be surprised by the amount of people who will actually find healing in your words and your very own personal testimony.

6. Blogging is a GREAT way to promote your business if you have one.

7. Gain Influence – What’s the best way to change the world? You could become a politician, activist or volunteer… OR you could become a blogger! A successful blogger gains a wide audience of people who trust and respect them. The more of a positive influence you have on people, the bigger the impact will be too 🙂

7 Places to Find Inspiration When Fighting Blogger’s Block!💙

20180517_210108.jpg
This is for all of my blogging friends that are currently fighting blogger’s block OR blogger burnout due to lack of inspiration for their posts! I hope this helps and sparks new ideas for you to write/post about 💛
1. WRITE ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE GOING THROUGH
Sometimes, my posts are inspired by my current situations or circumstances. It’s a great way for me to vent. I don’t put too much of my personal business on here though. Instead, I try to deflect it in a positive or encouraging way. In the process of encouraging you, I’m also encouraging me too!
2. WRITE ABOUT SOME OF THE THINGS YOU’VE BEEN THROUGH
“Somebody somewhere is waiting for the wisdom of your experience.. it will serve as their life jacket through the storm.” -Derron E. Short Never be ashamed of your story. Help people heal through your words.
3. BROWSE PINTEREST
I love Pinterest !! It’s literally one of my FAVORITE social media sites. I get so many ideas from there that it’s unreal. Different dinner ideas, blog post ideas, pictures, DIY projects, wedding decor ideas, birthday party ideas and sooo much more!! Browse through there for a little bit and get inspired! For my blogs, a lot of times the picture quotes are enough inspiration for me. If I can relate to the quote in any kind of way then I’ll write about it. If that doesn’t work for you, you can also type in the Pinterest search bar “Blog Post Ideas” and a huge variety of them will pop up!! Pinterest is very helpful when you’re looking for inspiration.
4. LISTS
Create a list of something – People are lazy. They don’t want to waste time on searching and gathering information. That’s the reason why lists are popular.
For example:

  • 5 Ways To Love Yourself More
  • 7 Ways To Keep a Consistent Relationship With Christ
  • 3 Ways To Improve Your Mental Health

5. TWITTER
I originally created a Twitter Account to discover more bloggers and connect with them. But here lately, I’ve gotten in the habit of following a lot of other inspirational people that I don’t even think have blogs! Why? Because I love their tweets! It’s like their tweets speak to personal parts of my life and they are so encouraging!! Sometimes, the tweets they share spark up blog post ideas for me! If I can relate to it in any way, shape, form or fashion, then I might write about it or if their tweets relate to any of my posts I’m working on then I might add their tweet in it. (See how I used Derron E. Short’s Tweet/Quote in this current post here? Number 2.)

6. SHARE YOUR GOALS & DREAMS
Write down all your goals for the current year or dreams where you want to be in 5 years time. It gives nice pressure and motivation to achieve the goals, and it will excite your loyal followers.

7. “GET TO KNOW ME” POST
Make a post including interesting facts about yourself and let your readers get to know you a little better!😜

I hope these few little tips help you just a little bit if you’re struggling with blogger’s block! I’ll be making another post like this to share some more ideas later. I enjoy looking out for my fellow bloggers and helping y’all out when & if I can. It’s enough room for all of us to be great!! Thanks for reading and visiting my blog today!! Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way 💛

5 Ways To Stay Inspired Without Falling Apart in the Process of Reaching Success!

20180516_190510.jpg

Sometimes when you start something new, in the beginning it’s fun and exciting. You’re extra determined to be successful. You’re super motivated to reach that goal but after a while of working towards it and not seeing the results you expected to see so soon you get a little discouraged. You might even become a little frustrated and that’s okay. It’s normal and sometimes I think we forget that good things take time! In some cases, it takes more time than we expect but that still doesn’t make it impossible. I want to help you with that frustration that you feel in the process of accomplishing your goals. Today, I’ll be sharing 5 different ways to stay inspired without falling apart in the process! 🙂

1. HANG AROUND PEOPLE WHO REALLY INSPIRE YOU.

I’ve said this before & it’s really important! How you spend your time and where you focus your attention will determine how successful you are. Get around people who reflect who you want to be!

2. GOALS

Set goals that will help make your dream become your reality. They don’t have to be big stressful ones either; they can be small! One step at a time and one day at a time. Just make sure you’re being consistent in each step you take and don’t forget that every single step counts. No matter how big or small it is, it’s nothing to be stressed over but make sure you are doing something everyday that contributes to the success of reaching that goal.

3. DISCIPLINE

Everyone wants to be great but not everyone is willing to put in the work. Success actually starts with self-discipline. You gotta be disciplined enough to still push yourself to work towards your goal even when you don’t feel like it. It’s okay to rest every now and then. Sometimes, it’s okay if the only thing you do is breathe because everyone needs a break here and there. When you get tired, learn to rest without quitting. You gotta find a way to push through those uninspired, non-motivating, lazy days and put the necessary work in! Like I said, every step counts no matter how big or small it is but you have to make sure you’re taking the necessary steps! Self-discipline is everything. It begins with the mastery of your own thoughts. If you don’t control what you think, you can’t control what you do.  If you can conquer your physical and mental being, you can conquer anything in the world. Find a way to push through the gloomy mood and get done what you know needs to be done that day even if you don’t feel like it.

4. PATIENCE/COMPARISON

Be patient with yourself! “Don’t accept anyone’s comparison of their progress to yours. What you’re birthing is too big too big to be rushed. What may take someone 20 accomplishments to get to their goal just may take you one accomplishment to get there so just understand they know not the size of your blessing. If they are in a rush for you just tell them to be patient and to keep their eyes on their own blessing because your big one is not one to play with/” -Tatiana Jerome

5. BE READY TO FIGHT FOR YOUR DREAM

Some people have a way of discouraging you with their negative comments but if you know you have a passion for what you’re working towards then I want to encourage you to keep pushing!!! You have to be careful because not everybody wants to see you succeed. Some people are comfortable with you being broke. They’re comfortable with you struggling. They’re comfortable with you living a mediocre life. They’re comfortable with you living an unhealthy lifestyle. Sometimes, people don’t wanna see you doing good because they’re scared you’re gonna mess around and be better than them. Shoot, sometimes jealousy is the foundation of their negativity! Sometimes, people will see sooo much more potential in YOU than you do for yourself and they’ll do everything to sabotage it. See you gotta be careful with folks. They get mad at you when you are not who they want you to be! They’ll try to make you feel guilty for it too! But I want to encourage you on today to keep fighting and pushing for that dream no matter how big or small it is!! You can do it despite what other people think or say!! They don’t have to understand your passion but they dang sure better respect it and if they can’t then you need to kindly walk away from it! Don’t shy away from your own dreams just to make those sour patches feel comfortable! You better not!

I hope this was helpful for you! Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have an amazing day!!

7 MAJOR Blogging Mistakes to Avoid!

20180513_211131.jpg

1.TRYING TO BE PERFECT

A lot of times when you’re trying to be perfect in your writing instead of just being 100% you – your posts seem to either not get as much attention as you’d like for it to have or you don’t get that good of a response (feedback). People can tell when the words are more so of forced and not really flowing like they should. For some people, self-doubt of being yourself in blogging can actually be crippling. Just be you. Let people see the real, imperfect, flawed, quirky, weird, beautiful, magical, creative, awesome, amazing person that you are!! Remember to write about things that actually interest YOU. Don’t stress and write about what you think people will like. Write about what stays on your mind the most and I promise you the right people will find, follow and keep up with you and your posts.

2. NOT PLANNING AHEAD

Some may not agree and that’s okay but I seriously think planning ahead for your blog plays a big role in having a successful one especially if you’re trying to monetize it! When I say plan ahead, I’m particularly talking about planning your blog posts ahead, writing them ahead of time or even getting on a blogging schedule. The best benefit of planning ahead is that it helps you stay consistent, it keeps your readers interested and your traffic consistently flowing.

3. NO EMAIL LIST OR WAY FOR PEOPLE TO SIGN UP

One of the things I have the hardest time doing when scoping out a new blog is finding the follow button or email subscription option! Make sure the “follow/subscription” option is clearly visible for your new-coming followers and readers. That’s important.

4. BAD BLOG TITLES/HEADLINES

The one mistake that so many bloggers make (including myself sometimes) is making bad or uninteresting blog titles or headlines. Try to make your titles as interesting as possible! That alone is one of the BIGGEST things that makes your posts attractive!! Titles tell people what your blog is about, they improve the traffic you have coming to your blog, they engage your readers, and get potential readers excited. People aren’t only looking for information online – they also want to be amused, entertained or interested. So going forward, try to keep that in mind when you’re making titles/headlines for your posts.

5. NO PICTURES/IMAGES

A great way to attract more attention to your blog and your posts is to include pictures !!! I don’t know why but for some reason it just makes the post more attractive. People LOVE pictures!! I personally love using different pictures and images from Pinterest but now that I’ve learned how to create my own, I’ve been doing that more! Now, if it works for you to not use pictures/images then stick to whatever is best for you but in my opinion, it just makes your blog a little more lively and fun!

6. TOO MUCH COMPARING

It’s bound to happen. You’re going to compare your blog, your design, your numbers, anything to other blogs. It’s human nature. If you never compare, good for you! You’re a rare breed! Just don’t get caught up in comparing your progress to others. Never compare your beginning to someone else’s middle. Always keep in mind that slow progress is still better than no progress at all! As a matter of fact, instead of comparing your blog to others, see what you can learn from them instead! It’s okay to reach out for help or advice. And when you do make it to success, be sure to drop a rope down for others when you reach the top! 🙂

7. NOT ENOUGH ADVERTISING

If blogging is basically a hobby for you then I’m not talking to you about this particular point but if you’re trying to monetize your blog and grow your traffic then you need to make sure you’re doing enough advertising to get people to actually come and visit your blog. There are several different ways to advertise and get the word out about your blog. There’s always “word of mouth”, you could pass out business cards if you’d like, reach out to people personally and try to get them to support you OR take advantage of social media! I’ve been blogging for five months and advertising through social media is just what works for me! My blog definitely gets more attention through Twitter and Instagram. For some reason, when I share my posts on Facebook, people could literally care less about it but the other social media platforms have been a totally different story for me!!

I’ve actually read a few posts from other bloggers that became upset from not hardly getting any traffic, views, or responses to their site and where ready to give up blogging .. and it just made me wonder if they ever actually took the time to advertise their blog or if they just kind of expected people to read visit and magically start following. One thing I can say about blogging is that it does not always go as you expect and you have to be ready for that. There are people that I really “thought” would support me in my journey of blogging but they don’t and then there are some that I never would have expected to take interest and they have! Once I got it in my head that I was determined to help people all around this world rather than just those that I knew personally/locally, my blog began to really grow and expand !! I have had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people through both Twitter and Instagram! From sharing my posts with them, interacting and visiting their blogs .. I’ve made some great connections, made some great friends, learned quite a bit and we just help each other grow! Ya know? That’s what the blogging community is about! But you’ve got to be just as consistent in your advertising as you are in your interacting and vice versa or you can just forget it. You won’t go far by being unsupportive of others. That’s for sure! So if you don’t advertise or you know that’s an area you slack in … try it and watch what kind of positive difference it makes for your blog!

Now I don’t want anyone to get upset with me! These are just my personal opinions and what I’ve learned along the way so far! I love sharing tips and also taking the opportunity to help those who need it. I appreciate every chance I get to learn from successful bloggers who were once in mine and your places. I just wanna share the love! I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for visiting with me today!
