3 Ways I Personally Manage Depression.

1. PRAYING

Little small talks with Jesus here and there through out my days of depression really help me. I mean, they help me everyday but on some of my worse days, they really pull me through! When I say I pray, I don’t mean that I pray these long eloquent prayers and use big bible words, vocabulary, terminology or whatever you wanna call it. I literally talk to God like He is my best friend and I’m just myself. Most of the time I don’t even close my eyes. Sometimes, I talk to God in my heart (if that makes sense) and sometimes I talk out loud. Just whatever works at the moment. Normally after a few of those little mini talks with God, I feel better! I guess it’s because deep down, I TRUST that He’s working everything out in my favor. I trust that He has a purpose for whatever I’m going through and sometimes through prayer alone, I am reminded of that. Don’t let the pain you feel now make you forget what God said. Remember, He’s Making It Work For Your Good .. (Romans 8:28)

2.BLOGGING

First of all, blogging is addictive. I have always enjoyed it but here lately, I’ve grown to absolutely love it! I spend more time on here than I do any other social media site and honestly, I think that’s a good thing!! The blogging community itself is so positive and sometimes in my moments of depression .. the encouraging and uplifting posts really help me! Some of y’all post things that speak to the core of my heart and after I read it, I’m just like .. “Dang! They really just spoke to a personal part of me without even knowing it.” When I come across those kinds of posts, sometimes they help push me on out of that depressing mood! I love it!

Writing blog posts actually helps with my depression too! I have found that some of my best posts are actually written when I’m emotional, upset, depressed, bothered, angry or frustrated. It all kind of goes back to writing being probably the best form of therapy for me but the fact that I have the opportunity to reach out and encourage others through my writing only encourages me to deflect what I’m going through in a positive way. When I’m trying to help you, I’m really helping myself too! 🙂 Blogging really does help depression.

3. MUSIC

Music & I can NEVER be separated!! If you’ve been keeping up with my blogs then you’ve probably heard me say this before. Music, sometimes, is just another way to escape the pain .. or at least it is for me anyways. I prefer gospel. Music that will encourage and speak to my spirit is everything! It always puts me in a better mood.

I’m praying for those who battle depression. That spirit is real but you can win! Keep fighting the good fight of faith! Keep fighting to stay positive!! Whatever you’re going through is NOT going to overtake you! It may seem like it but I promise you that God will never put more you than you handle. It may hurt now but I promise, it is going to make you so much stronger!!

There’s Power in Kindness!

Use your words to build people up because words are powerful. SO powerful. They leave a lasting impact. So when it comes to your mouth, think of it as a power tool and be very careful with it. Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. Aim to be more of an encouragement to others instead of tearing them down. Try to make it to where your words leave other people inspired, not frustrated. A little more kindness and a little less judgement will take you a long way in life with people. Always remember that. Treat people the way you want to be treated, not how you have been treated. {.Kindness.} is free! You should totally sprinkle that stuff some of everywhere!!

Empowered people, empower other people!

Thanks for visiting my blog today! I pray that today is a great day for you!

7 Places to Find Inspiration When Fighting Blogger’s Block!💙

20180517_210108.jpg
This is for all of my blogging friends that are currently fighting blogger’s block OR blogger burnout due to lack of inspiration for their posts! I hope this helps and sparks new ideas for you to write/post about 💛
1. WRITE ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE GOING THROUGH
Sometimes, my posts are inspired by my current situations or circumstances. It’s a great way for me to vent. I don’t put too much of my personal business on here though. Instead, I try to deflect it in a positive or encouraging way. In the process of encouraging you, I’m also encouraging me too!
2. WRITE ABOUT SOME OF THE THINGS YOU’VE BEEN THROUGH
“Somebody somewhere is waiting for the wisdom of your experience.. it will serve as their life jacket through the storm.” -Derron E. Short Never be ashamed of your story. Help people heal through your words.
3. BROWSE PINTEREST
I love Pinterest !! It’s literally one of my FAVORITE social media sites. I get so many ideas from there that it’s unreal. Different dinner ideas, blog post ideas, pictures, DIY projects, wedding decor ideas, birthday party ideas and sooo much more!! Browse through there for a little bit and get inspired! For my blogs, a lot of times the picture quotes are enough inspiration for me. If I can relate to the quote in any kind of way then I’ll write about it. If that doesn’t work for you, you can also type in the Pinterest search bar “Blog Post Ideas” and a huge variety of them will pop up!! Pinterest is very helpful when you’re looking for inspiration.
4. LISTS
Create a list of something – People are lazy. They don’t want to waste time on searching and gathering information. That’s the reason why lists are popular.
For example:

  • 5 Ways To Love Yourself More
  • 7 Ways To Keep a Consistent Relationship With Christ
  • 3 Ways To Improve Your Mental Health

5. TWITTER
I originally created a Twitter Account to discover more bloggers and connect with them. But here lately, I’ve gotten in the habit of following a lot of other inspirational people that I don’t even think have blogs! Why? Because I love their tweets! It’s like their tweets speak to personal parts of my life and they are so encouraging!! Sometimes, the tweets they share spark up blog post ideas for me! If I can relate to it in any way, shape, form or fashion, then I might write about it or if their tweets relate to any of my posts I’m working on then I might add their tweet in it. (See how I used Derron E. Short’s Tweet/Quote in this current post here? Number 2.)

6. SHARE YOUR GOALS & DREAMS
Write down all your goals for the current year or dreams where you want to be in 5 years time. It gives nice pressure and motivation to achieve the goals, and it will excite your loyal followers.

7. “GET TO KNOW ME” POST
Make a post including interesting facts about yourself and let your readers get to know you a little better!😜

I hope these few little tips help you just a little bit if you’re struggling with blogger’s block! I’ll be making another post like this to share some more ideas later. I enjoy looking out for my fellow bloggers and helping y’all out when & if I can. It’s enough room for all of us to be great!! Thanks for reading and visiting my blog today!! Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way 💛

5 Ways To Stay Inspired Without Falling Apart in the Process of Reaching Success!

20180516_190510.jpg

Sometimes when you start something new, in the beginning it’s fun and exciting. You’re extra determined to be successful. You’re super motivated to reach that goal but after a while of working towards it and not seeing the results you expected to see so soon you get a little discouraged. You might even become a little frustrated and that’s okay. It’s normal and sometimes I think we forget that good things take time! In some cases, it takes more time than we expect but that still doesn’t make it impossible. I want to help you with that frustration that you feel in the process of accomplishing your goals. Today, I’ll be sharing 5 different ways to stay inspired without falling apart in the process! 🙂

1. HANG AROUND PEOPLE WHO REALLY INSPIRE YOU.

I’ve said this before & it’s really important! How you spend your time and where you focus your attention will determine how successful you are. Get around people who reflect who you want to be!

2. GOALS

Set goals that will help make your dream become your reality. They don’t have to be big stressful ones either; they can be small! One step at a time and one day at a time. Just make sure you’re being consistent in each step you take and don’t forget that every single step counts. No matter how big or small it is, it’s nothing to be stressed over but make sure you are doing something everyday that contributes to the success of reaching that goal.

3. DISCIPLINE

Everyone wants to be great but not everyone is willing to put in the work. Success actually starts with self-discipline. You gotta be disciplined enough to still push yourself to work towards your goal even when you don’t feel like it. It’s okay to rest every now and then. Sometimes, it’s okay if the only thing you do is breathe because everyone needs a break here and there. When you get tired, learn to rest without quitting. You gotta find a way to push through those uninspired, non-motivating, lazy days and put the necessary work in! Like I said, every step counts no matter how big or small it is but you have to make sure you’re taking the necessary steps! Self-discipline is everything. It begins with the mastery of your own thoughts. If you don’t control what you think, you can’t control what you do.  If you can conquer your physical and mental being, you can conquer anything in the world. Find a way to push through the gloomy mood and get done what you know needs to be done that day even if you don’t feel like it.

4. PATIENCE/COMPARISON

Be patient with yourself! “Don’t accept anyone’s comparison of their progress to yours. What you’re birthing is too big too big to be rushed. What may take someone 20 accomplishments to get to their goal just may take you one accomplishment to get there so just understand they know not the size of your blessing. If they are in a rush for you just tell them to be patient and to keep their eyes on their own blessing because your big one is not one to play with/” -Tatiana Jerome

5. BE READY TO FIGHT FOR YOUR DREAM

Some people have a way of discouraging you with their negative comments but if you know you have a passion for what you’re working towards then I want to encourage you to keep pushing!!! You have to be careful because not everybody wants to see you succeed. Some people are comfortable with you being broke. They’re comfortable with you struggling. They’re comfortable with you living a mediocre life. They’re comfortable with you living an unhealthy lifestyle. Sometimes, people don’t wanna see you doing good because they’re scared you’re gonna mess around and be better than them. Shoot, sometimes jealousy is the foundation of their negativity! Sometimes, people will see sooo much more potential in YOU than you do for yourself and they’ll do everything to sabotage it. See you gotta be careful with folks. They get mad at you when you are not who they want you to be! They’ll try to make you feel guilty for it too! But I want to encourage you on today to keep fighting and pushing for that dream no matter how big or small it is!! You can do it despite what other people think or say!! They don’t have to understand your passion but they dang sure better respect it and if they can’t then you need to kindly walk away from it! Don’t shy away from your own dreams just to make those sour patches feel comfortable! You better not!

I hope this was helpful for you! Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have an amazing day!!
