5 Ways To Stay Inspired Without Falling Apart in the Process of Reaching Success!

20180516_190510.jpg

Sometimes when you start something new, in the beginning it’s fun and exciting. You’re extra determined to be successful. You’re super motivated to reach that goal but after a while of working towards it and not seeing the results you expected to see so soon you get a little discouraged. You might even become a little frustrated and that’s okay. It’s normal and sometimes I think we forget that good things take time! In some cases, it takes more time than we expect but that still doesn’t make it impossible. I want to help you with that frustration that you feel in the process of accomplishing your goals. Today, I’ll be sharing 5 different ways to stay inspired without falling apart in the process! πŸ™‚

1. HANG AROUND PEOPLE WHO REALLY INSPIRE YOU.

I’ve said this before & it’s really important! How you spend your time and where you focus your attention will determine how successful you are. Get around people who reflect who you want to be!

2. GOALS

Set goals that will help make your dream become your reality. They don’t have to be big stressful ones either; they can be small! One step at a time and one day at a time. Just make sure you’re being consistent in each step you take and don’t forget that every single step counts. No matter how big or small it is, it’s nothing to be stressed over but make sure you are doing something everyday that contributes to the success of reaching that goal.

3.Β DISCIPLINE

Everyone wants to be great but not everyone is willing to put in the work. Success actually starts with self-discipline. You gotta be disciplined enough to still push yourself to work towards your goal even when you don’t feel like it. It’s okay to rest every now and then. Sometimes, it’s okay if the only thing you do is breathe because everyone needs a break here and there. When you get tired, learn to rest without quitting. You gotta find a way to push through those uninspired, non-motivating, lazy days and put the necessary work in! Like I said, every step counts no matter how big or small it is but you have to make sure you’re taking the necessary steps! Self-discipline is everything. It begins with the mastery of your own thoughts. If you don’t control what you think, you can’t control what you do.Β Β If you can conquer your physical and mental being, you can conquer anything in the world. Find a way to push through the gloomy mood and get done what you know needs to be done that day even if you don’t feel like it.

4. PATIENCE/COMPARISON

Be patient with yourself! “Don’t accept anyone’s comparison of their progress to yours. What you’re birthing is too big too big to be rushed. What may take someone 20 accomplishments to get to their goal just may take you one accomplishment to get there so just understand they know not the size of your blessing. If they are in a rush for you just tell them to be patient and to keep their eyes on their own blessing because your big one is not one to play with/” -Tatiana Jerome

5. BE READY TO FIGHT FOR YOUR DREAM

Some people have a way of discouraging you with their negative comments but if you know you have a passion for what you’re working towards then I want to encourage you to keep pushing!!! You have to be careful because not everybody wants to see you succeed. Some people are comfortable with you being broke. They’re comfortable with you struggling. They’re comfortable with you living a mediocre life. They’re comfortable with you living an unhealthy lifestyle. Sometimes, people don’t wanna see you doing good because they’re scared you’re gonna mess around and be better than them. Shoot, sometimes jealousy is the foundation of their negativity! Sometimes, people will see sooo much more potential in YOU than you do for yourself and they’ll do everything to sabotage it. See you gotta be careful with folks. They get mad at you when you are not who they want you to be! They’ll try to make you feel guilty for it too! But I want to encourage you on today to keep fighting and pushing for that dream no matter how big or small it is!! You can do it despite what other people think or say!! They don’t have to understand your passion but they dang sure better respect it and if they can’t then you need to kindly walk away from it! Don’t shy away from your own dreams just to make those sour patches feel comfortable! You better not!

I hope this was helpful for you! Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have an amazing day!!

-Jessica

Appreciate the Journey..

20180503_112824.jpg
Be thankful you’re not where you used to be. You’ve outgrown so much and you’re still learning. You’ve survived what the enemy thought would break you and as a result you’re stronger, wiser, more experienced and better. Give yourself credit for making it this far. Sometimes we get so impatient and frustrated with ourselves because we’ve not reached that place of success in our lives that we feel like we should be at but learn to appreciate the journey on your way there.
Be {.t h a n k f u l.} for everything. The highs, the lows, the ups, the downs.. be thankful for the physical, mental and spiritual frustration. Be thankful for everything that is preparing you to be better, stronger and aligned with what God has promised you! Be thankful for what tried to attack you but couldn’t touch you!! Do not be discouraged. If the enemy could have taken you out, he would have done it a long time ago!! The fact that you are still here is proof that God has purpose over your life. Whatever it is you’re working towards, you keep pushing and fighting for it. Your current situation is not your final destination. Your best is still yet to come!!
I pray you have a great day!

Hello May!🌞

I’m so glad to finally see this month! April seemed like it lasted FOREVER!! Everything about it was so slow! Work was slow, most of the days were long and gloomy because it rained so much and on top that we were still seeing winter temps which was no fun and if you’re from Tennessee then you know how bipolar the weather is here!! On a brighter note, I’m welcoming May with open arms!! I’m so excited to see the warmer temps, enjoy this pretty weather and watch the trees and flowers bloom and blossom again!! Despite the rainy days, S P R I N G is such a beautiful season!!🌳🌻🌼🌸
I thought it’d be a good idea to start the month off by setting some personal goals! So here are my five!! πŸ’•

  1. Stop Letting My Mood Shift Based on the Insignificant Actions of Someone Else
  2. Drink More Water – I’ve actually been doing pretty good with this one! I’m proud of myself πŸ˜‚
  3. Lay off the Bread – I eat entirely too many bready foods and I need to quit! It’s defeating the purpose of me working out and exercising to lose this pudge of mine that’s starting to get out of hand!
  4. Learn How To Meal Prep & Start Putting it into Action!
  5. Get More Consistent About Spending Time With Jesus – I got a little slackful last month! Gotta do better.

If you haven’t set any goals, you totally should !! Personal Growth is Addictive and you should always spend time doing that. You don’t have to be dramatic and set a bunch of goals nor do they have to be hard ones. It’s okay to take small steps daily in the process of becoming a BETTER You. And the goals you don’t achieve this month, roll ’em over to the next month and work even harder towards them! ☺
