Self Accountability is another level of Self Love & Self Care. It is so important to be able to take responsibility for yourself, your actions, and your mistakes.
Yes, love yourself .. but also analyze and be critical of how you think, act, and behave. Self love without self awareness is useless. Be accountable and if you don’t know how, here are few ways to practice it. π
- Acknowledge that you’re struggling.
- Accept that you’re imperfect and that it’s normal.
- Ask for help when you need it. Don’t let pride get in the way.
- Slow Down! –
- Learn how to handle your problems and pick your battles.
- Take responsibility for your mistakes.
- Practice the art of apology.
When you have a well-developed sense ofΒ self–accountability, you are honest with yourself, and are answerable and responsible for what you say and do. You have the ability to look beyond the immediate moment to consider the consequences and know if you are willing to pay them. You have personal ethics.
Keep striving to become a better you and remember:
I have no problems admitting when I have made mistakes and learning from them. As for the rest, I am slowly but surely working on them. π

I’ve found that taking responsibility has improved my confidence as well as my ability to be compassionate (to myself and others).
It’s a really important practice.

It’s one of those levels of self care that a lot of people don’t like to focus on but when you really work on yourself in that area .. you start noticing positive changes within yourself and for the better!

Thank you sweet girl for this great post! I do believe I know who I am and therefore I know some things desperately need improvement! My number one problem that needs fixing is that I put everyone else’s needs way ahead of my own. I am just a caretaker that does not care for myself even when I know I need to! You are so inspiring and amazing!

My pleasure Jessica! I am learning to say more often because people will definitely take advantage when they can and this does wear you out!

Very true! Self-awareness is a key feedback mechanism and allows us to reflect on our actions and whether or not they are helping or hindering us
