How I Gained 1,000 Followers in 6 Months!!!

I am extremely, extremely, extremely overwhelmed by the support, gratitude, testimonies, and healing that has happened on and through this blog!! I have to give God ALL the Glory for it though!! I thank Him for ultimately giving me the idea to write and join the Blogging Community! THANKS FOR 1,000+ FOLLOWERS!! I am SO blessed to be connected with you all. I appreciate y’all from the bottom of my heart. So as a way to give back, I want to use this opportunity to help y’all out if I can.

I’m no pro at blogging but I do want to share and shed some light on how I’ve gained 1,000 followers in my six months of blogging to encourage newbies and other fellow bloggers who might the need help 🙂 Y’all I know I just wanna see you be great !! There’s enough room for all of us to be successful !! Let’s dive right into this !!

• COMMUNITY POOL

For those of you who don’t know .. this is what the Community Pool looks like and if you run a blog on WordPress, you can find it in your “Reader” . As you can see, I just typed it in the Reader’s search bar and it popped up. It’s basically a post that’s shared every so often where bloggers can support one another with feedback and advice. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with many other bloggers who share the same niche with you as well as those outside of your niche to learn something new!! This is where I actually fell in love with the “Blogging Community.” The support and positive vibes here are nothing short of amazing! This is actually where I got my first 100+ followers 🙂

• T w i t t e r .&&. I n s t a g r a m

Twitter and Instagram have been two of the most powerful and effective social media platforms for me to promote my blog on and connect with other people!! Basically, how I promote through these sites is share my link, add a photo and sometimes add small description on what that particular blog post is about. I really just try to make sure my post are as inviting as possible and before I actually post it, I tag different blog pages/groups that way my blog post is being shared on their pages and other bloggers can see it and connect with me if they’d like !! 🙂 It’s a great and fast way to attract a lot more traffic to your blog as well gain new followers and become followers of other bloggers. Here are some examples below on how I promote:

• Twitter Blog Trains

My numbers in followers shot up quickly when I started getting involved in the Blog Trains on Twitter. Some people have really good luck with these and then there are some that don’t care too much for them. Me personally, I love them!! Basically, it’s just a big comment thread with all kinds of random people sharing their social media and blog links. (Twitter, Insta, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Blog & Google+) The whole point of it is to meet new people, gain more followers, and become new followers of others. Normally, after I go and follow someone on their sites, I’ll either comment and say, “Following!” and then I leave my link with it so it’s easy for them to find me. Here’s an example of what one of them looks like:

• F a c e b o o k – Blogging Support Groups!

Joining and participating in these groups are a great way to connect and meet new bloggers as well !! As you can see, there are a variety of different blogging groups you can join. I just typed “blog” in the search bar so you could kind of get an idea of what different groups popped up but there are more than this! Check it out sometime if you haven’t already 🙂 It personally doesn’t do me any good to share my blog posts on my actual Facebook page but I get pretty active in these groups sometimes and it does help .. a lot !!
