I came across this quote a few days ago and fell in love with it because it’s so true!! Some people believe in love at first sight. I believe in friendship before marriage. Intimacy is a major part of any relationship or marriage. What some people fail to realize is that intimacy isn’t always about sex. Sometimes the best type of intimacy is where you just lay back, laugh together at the stupidest things, hold each other and just enjoy each other’s company. Friendship has a lot to do with that !! 

My Husband & I were only friends from 2008-2012 .. We dated from 2013-2016 .. He proposed on Dec. 25th, 2016 and we tied the knot on July 15th, 2017.. now here we are almost a year of being married!! We’ve had our share of ups, downs and disagreements but it seems like no matter what.. we always seems to get through whatever it is. I truly feel like friendship being the foundation of what we have now has a lot to do with that.

  2. Amazing to see others who still believe in the virtue of marriage and friendship, kudos to you both! That is something that I learned the hard way towards the end of my courtship with my now ex fiancé. Without friendship, the relationship is susceptible to so much greater hardship. Becoming friends first is a must, and that’s what I strive to abide by moving forward in my next encounter 😊

    1. Awwhh thanks & thanks for sharing!! This generation is sooo different from the older ones. People just don’t value marriage at all like they used to or relationships for that matter but I do and I made sure I connected with someone who believed in it also! I pray that your next relationship/marriage is your best one yet 🙂 I’m sure the right heart is out there somewhere waiting to love you!!
